Every month a group of people gather online to Pray Without Words and you are very welcome to join us.

Someone from the group will provide a prompt to aid us in our reflection. This in turn may lead to written as well as spoken responses.

In September we shared a prayer by Mother Teresa and Joy Tobler wrote in response.

Dear Jesus,

Help us to spread Your fragrance

everywhere we go.

Flood our souls with Your Spirit and life.

Penetrate and possess

our whole being so utterly

that our lives

may only be a radiance of Yours.

Shine through us and be so in us

that every soul we come in contact with

may feel Your presence in our soul.

Let them look up and see no longer us, but only You, Jesus.

Based on Mother Teresa’s prayer said daily after Holy Communion

Lord of Light,

Shine Your clear light into me

that Your truth and love and joy

may penetrate my dullness

and shine through me to others.

And may I become like

a crystal prism in Your hand,

that the invisible light of Your love

is split into visible colours -

a rainbow of patience,

compassion, understanding,

kindness, generosity, humility,

tenderness and joy.

Show the beautiful colours

of Your love and Your light

through me, Lord, I pray.
