Change and growth continue during challenging times!
At today’s AGM, we welcomed Richard Blackburn as the new Chair of the Whirlow Grange Limited board. (WGL is the charity that operates Whirlow in partnership with All Saints, Ecclesall.)
Members expressed deep, affectionate gratitude to John Stride who has been chair for 9 years and will continue to be part of our community as he steps down.

Chaplain and board member Joy Adams said : “We have so much to be grateful for.
“John saw this place through challenging years. We have seen evidence of a deep generosity and abundance underpinning our work.Signs of life and hope are all around us. Richard’s arrival is one of those.”
Richard recently retired from ministry as Bishop of Warrington. He was appointed chair by the Bishop of Sheffield, Pete Wilcox. He was involved with Whirlow Grange Conference Centre in the past.
He said : “I am delighted to have been offered the opportunity to serve again at Whirlow.
“Since returning to Sheffield, I have crept in to share in its events, thinking I would stay quietly under the radar; God continues to surprise!”
Beth Keith, Associate Vicar at All Saints Ecclesall, which operates the Centre with charity Whirlow Grange Limited, said: “We are delighted Richard is joining as Chair. His experience and wisdom will be invaluable.
“We are grateful to John Stride for all he has contributed.”
