As we journey through Advent, this day will be an opportunity to reflect on the theme of wondering and wandering through the medium of stitching a snippet roll.
All materials will be provided, though you are welcome to bring your own sewing kit and snippets of fabric should you wish. This event is open to all sewing abilities - the only skill required is for you to be able to thread a needle!
The day begins with a service of Reflective Communion and closes at approximately 3.30 pm. If you are not attending the service it is suggested you arrive before 10.30am, when the service concludes, allowing you time to settle in.
Outline:
Materials may be sent by email in advance.
9.45am - optional Reflective Communion Service
10.40am approx - introduction to the day
12:30pm optional praying with a psalm
3pm sewing ends; a time for reflection together
3.30 pm - departures.
Use what is offered in so far as it is helpful. If you are fairly new to spending time in silence, the Simple Quiet Day is a good introduction.
