Our senses are the pathway to experiencing connection to the world. By developing our sensitivity to listening, seeing and whole body sensation we can more deeply connect with our spiritual essence, our companions and nature. These four days will explore our relationship to connection and stillness. Over the 4 seasons of the year we will settle into the deep peace of Whirlow Spirituality Centre. We will explore sound making and creativity to awaken connection to ourselves, nature and stillness. Each day stands alone but we encourage you to book all four retreat days if possible.
Sessions will include:
Time outside to tune in to each season
Simple somatic movement to connect to our bodies
Toning and voice warm-up exercises
Small group exploration of sound making.
Learning simple sacred chants from the Taize tradition and nature.
Using natural found materials to express our creativity
Short periods of silence to heighten the senses
Small group sharing
