One
I stand, conduit with the flowing / road that runs down from Stanage, /out of the mass-trespassed moors…
Four
There are cobbles on Sheffield’s streets, / under the tarmac, they show through after a while….
Seven
They sit, side by side, at the foodbank clothing giveaway / Jason and Shaun …
Ten
The queue is a serpent slowly writhing / into the supermarket…
Two
Standing stock still to recall a hundred years…
Five
The interminable turning of wheels / and the passing flashes of lights in windows
Eight
A straight trudge, uphill, framed by a rainbow / mirrored in petrol …
Eleven
The row of cottages nestles / into the crag in the same way / as the child …
Three
The face he sets to the world / falls short of the man he used to be…
Six
It happens every week / on a Thursday in Fir Vale…
Nine
A rise just beyond / the reach of your cast / its ripples extending / in the summer water …
